I have amazingly raised a single cardinal without even doing much to raise it.

Next time the bangaii's spawn, and the male releases the fry, I will be more prepared, and hopefully able to raise more of the clutch.

 

Wow cool. I might have to get a mate for my PJ cardinal. How do you know what sex they are?

Yeah, I have big plans to raise as many as I can. They are said to breed every 30 days or so. I expect the courtship dance to happen again very soon. I just want to make sure the male gets to eat like his usual pig self as long as he can. While he is carrying eggs/ fry, he can't eat.

As to the sex of the individual baby I have in the "nursery" I have no clue, and I probably won't know what sex it is for a while.
