Just found out a friend of mine is importing a shipment of fishes. Around 200 of em... I may consider getting some yellow tangs from him.
Of course I will QT before I put them in my DT.
What's a good number to go with?
I was thinking about 5-7 yellow tangs.
Next two months or so I will be importing my very first shipment of live fish for both sale and personal use. I can't wait till that time arrives.

Everything is finally covered. I have a guy coming in this evening to build a nice canopy and frame for the stand out of teak for me. I would do it myself but my carpentry skills are a waste lol.

I've been a few times on vacation. I really do like it. I'm really excited about being able to attend swaps and shows :)

This afternoon I noticed that my water looks a bit cloudy. But all fish and coral seem to be really happy.
Is it possible at all for the chiller to be leeching something making the water cloudy?
It seems farfetched but I cant think of another reason.
I did add a bit of microbe-lift special blend bacteria this morning. But I've done that before without any ill effects besides the smell engulfing the entire house.
I restarted my carbon reactor and filter socks to help it clear up.

    Some pics:

Finally starting to see some coralline on the bare bottom. Can't wait for the whole thing to be covered in that purple goodness.

This is the chiller. Homemade (not by me) cheap and efficient.

Im not sure what is causing your cloudiness but the build is really coming along nicely! I've been following closely.

Thanks. A huge sigh of relief when I got up this morning and noticed that the tank cleared up.
I'm getting some new fish on Friday. Not sure yet what I will take but I have to QT them for a while as they're coming from Thailand, stopping in Miami for a water charge and re-bagging and then to trinidad. Long journey and lots of stress.
Contemplating quarantining them with copper and daily water changes.

Here's a short clip of the water movement in the tank. Jebo pumps off at the moment. That's the gyre gen and 2 mp40s on 50%
