I've been to Denver, CO before...I know what real mountains are like :D But the Appalachians are the best we've got over here. And I've been skiing up at 12,000+ at loveland ski resort in CO, and man that was a blast.

I hate going to Arkansas or Oklahoma or places like that because there are NO mountains anywhere! Every time you look at the horizon you feel like something's "missing"

Yes but Arkansas has Bella Vista! And if The Ponch says it's good, you know it must be true!

Well aside from that...it's still flat. :p I've grown up with distant ridges and mountain ranges in my view...it's a hard habit to shake off. :)

Man, I'm the opposite. I grew up in the Houston area and my family has been in Texas for several several generations. When I go to Colorado or Tennessee I start to feel a bit trapped. I like being able to see forever.

Not saying I couldn't easily adjust to the beauty of a mountain line, but I really appreciate the flatness and the rolling plains.

you lucky devil. grrr. I'm missing out on my hot summer hike through the Lone Star Trail thanks to a. physical therapy and b. stupid drought. no water in the creeks and bayous, no can live.

Great scenery Pack, I do miss those images. Theres nothing like getting down with Mother Nature and living next/with to her. I have been dying to rent an RV and "explore" the mid-west for a month or two. Am glad that you had fun.
