Well i'm back and rather happy. I've got a 40g tank that has been sitting around cycled for a while, just some beach snails and a hermit kicking around waiting for me to decide what i want.

And decide i did, today when i went in for a weekly browse and to pick up some coral food i found a 3-4 inch volitan lion fish, begging for me to take him home. A bonus is that he was already eating frozen. :)

He is acclimating now, pictures once he is out and about. Should only be a 25 mins now :D

Volatile? I hope not, I think you mean Volitan..... do know how to care for them? do you have source for live feeders? do you plan on training it to eat freez dried or frozen foods? Not trying to be a pain but if you need help, that's what we're here for...

yes i do, i believe i just got owned by auto correct. Yes my LFS does both frozen and live feeders, a bit of a pain but its 'relatively' close. As much as it seems an 'impulse buy' i have done a fair bit of reading about them, the only real impulse was which fish the the LFS got in first. Also, the lion was eating frozen foods at the LFS, the main reason i went for him.

Your not being a pain, just concerned. And thanks for the offer of help, much appreciated. :)

yes he is, unlike that algae. Hopefully the snails will get through it. I just can't believe how graceful he is. Just the way he floats through the water...

Lovely looking lion fish - and hes so small. I got one that small once, but his apetits was so ferocious he grew really quick. I ended up taking him back out of fear he would eat my little blenny
