I guess I can be back, too... I promised I wouldn't move out of the house until the new take is set up :D

Can you believe that I started posting on here when I was 18? My how times have changed. Now I'm sitting at 23, graduating college in December, and we have our first and only salt water aquarium doing amazingly well at 5 years old. It's had is ups and downs, including losing favorite fish (to carpet surfing or other), corals coming and going, and my mom eternally messing with the aquascape and layout. However, I'm happy to say that overall the tank has had a happy and healthy 5 years, and is very much so established. Water changes only seem to happen several times per year, and all levels have remained great with coral continuing to grow like a weed.

It's time to re-kindle the 3Reef questions and lifestyle, because as my mom said, we will (hopefully) be upgrading to a 90 gallon reef aquarium soon :) Expect a build thread as well as a question thread to appear very soon. It will be quite the upgrade and once again we will be trying to figure out what the heck we are doing. It should be our first and last upgrade, however, and we are both looking forward to tackling it. So long as it's finished by January or so, because I need to start a new job and move out :D :D

Unfortunately it's still not over, as I start my MBA in January :scholar:

Thankfully the MBA should be an easier road than undergraduate as far as academia goes. Work load will be more, as I will be working a full time job and attending two night classes per week, but the class load will be more "simple" than what I endured for an accounting degree.

You know, I guess I can attribute some of it to ambition, personality, all of that jazz. But I honestly feel like I just stumbled into my career. I had no idea what I was going to major in, because I had to drop engineering courses due to Calculus kicking my butt. So I decided "well, I guess I better minor in business at least...". I started a principles of accounting course for a business minor and had changed my major to accounting by the end of the semester.

A few years passed and people were talking about CPA licenses and the credit hours needed (you need 150, I will graduate undergraduate with 120ish). I was beyond fortunate enough to intern at a well reputed and wonderful CPA firm in town, and lo and behold they wanted me on full-time once I graduated, with the expectation that I would sit for my CPA exam as soon as I was eligible. Well crap, CPA exam...how am I going to get the hours for that? I guess I'll go to grad school! MBA sounds nice, I like management stuff!

And here I am today :D

I didn't even want to go to college, I wanted to be a pilot or something. And now somehow I get to enjoy 5.5 years of school :p
