well im considering going back to college. i just turned 23 and i did 1 year of college. i took off because i got a really good paying electronics job making well over 100k a year but i was working every hour of my life away. i did that for alittlee over a year and decided i wanted a life and i moved on and figured id go back to school next semester. long story short i have been saying it all along. well now that my car is nearing completion and ive spent my money on either it or my fish tanks ive decided i want to go back to school and see where that road takes me.

its been so long since my last class. so im thinking of just starting off by taking 1 class. seeing how my schedule is so busy working 70hours a week and hanging out with my girlfriend thinger, i tihnk this is my best way to get my feet wet again. im also thinking of starting off with a class that interests me more like a marine bio class or a history class.

im just tired of having to work so many hours a week and i dont want to feel the need to work like this when im alittle older.

any input ...mabe a kick in the pants story ? lol

Good luck, I know I need to just immerse myself in it, or I'll find excuses to skip it for something more fun.

my big problem is i cant take off from work so time is scarce. i think ideally id like to take like 20 credits and not work and id do best in that situation but unfortunately the bill collector stamped a big veto on that request lol so my next best option is to take baby steps.

Do evening school or weekends or do both if your capable.. Just talk to the department of the subject you want to major in. Ask what their recommendation would be under your circumstances and I'm sure they'll help you as much as possible. Other then that.

    Good Luck

thanks for the kind words guys...i was going for designing cars but the more time goes by the more i realise how nearly impossible to get into that field it is. so now im leaning twards mechanical engineering. designing performance car parts. or something along those lines

I did my schooling via night and weekend classes and a few web based classes (those were mainly electives like art history). Took me longer than if I went full time of course, but now that I'm done looking back, sooo glad I did it.

I'm 23 and only have 1.5 years of college before I dropped out. Now I am a certified welder though. Only took me 2 years going to school half time (3hrs/day 5day/week)
