    What do you do to prevent backflow through the pump into sump if power fails.

    Drill a small hole on the the tank side of the return line to the display tank. A 1/16" hole above the water line will break the siphon if the pump fails.

    Another idea is to put a check valve inline ;)

    My check valve was only about 5.99 or so at lowes.....I used a 1/2 inch with PVC pieces for ends to stick a hose onto!!

    hope thats ok ......
