If you are at a four year college, you should be able to go to health services for free. Go!!! At least you will get piece of mind and if it is an infection they should be able to give you meds, also for free.

Question....Do you have live Rock in the tank?
If you stop reading and get to the doctor or ER
LR can carry alot of strange bacteria......I work with a deep water exploration company and they do not allow there emplyoees touch anything with there bare hands that comes from deep ocean sea beds.

Now if you have no LR it sounds like your just haveing a reaction to the salt water and if you added a bacteria supplement you might just have sensitive skin; but still for your own health go see a doctor ASAP.....

Replace stubborn with smart. I wish more people understood this.

Call your college doc/clinic on Monday and get seen asap. Again, make sure they understand that it's probably m. Marinum.

Let us know how it goes

Well I'm still alive after sleeping it off last night. ;D

Thanks yall for all the concerns and helpful info.

So now some of the red rashes have kind of scabbed over. Thankfully tho, what was bright red before has gone down alot.

@Pierce....I was getting kind of relieved reading through the posts until I read yours lol......Yes, I do have live rock.....I guessed I kind of missed the not using you bare hands in satlwater reef tanks memo....leason learned, wear GLOVES

    I'll keep yall posted

.....I Just thought it could be a possibility; I do not and have never had any issues...I live in Tampa....ever had a cut and go into the Gulf for a day and see how fast your cut heals?......it is just in really deep water 3000-5000ft there are different bacterias in substrate, rock, artifacts etc that are not in the upper level water column.....But if you have sensitive skin or issues with eczema or dermatitius....just be careful and plan ahead.
