Bad Crab/Good Crab???

    I found this little bugger in my birdsnest this morning while doing feedings.. I plucked him right out and came here first to see if he is a good crab or a bad one..

    I dont know what it is, but he's very cool looking and those heavy claws are no joke, put him in ur refugium.

    is looks like it could be an anemone crab based on the look of its claws and body. I will continue to look.. I have read that some coral crabs are good to keep in their symbiotic coral to clean and protect it..

    Looks a lot like a Xanthid species of crab at least from the pictures I have seen on this site: Crab Hitch Hikers

    It looks a lot like the one in the second column 4th one down. This is just a guess though, have a look for yourself and see if its anything like that one.

    I vote for the Trapezia guttata ID. It looks really really close

    I think you nailed it.. Would you people put this crab back in the coral, or toss him down in the fuge..
