Bad Light Number 2

OK,
So now the second Nova Extreme is not working. YEt again, the same two 10k lights are not working.

Oddly enough, if you look around for spare parts, most are sold out. Hmmmm.

So I can't say that I will be recommending this light to anyone...

Now the question is, what should I do.....

I got mine from FS--and within 2 weeks the Actinic lights didn't work. FS sent me a new fixture which seems to be working well. When I got my first one it blew out my GFI, that should have told me something. The new lights don't do that--I have my fingers crossed now.

 

If your a handy man I would buy a different external ballast and hook them up myself outside of the fixture. Cheaper lights are not always better, I was always told that "You get what you pay for".

Well , handy enough where i can order a replacement and put it in anyway. I would hope that sooner or later one will work longer than a week.

I know they are cheap, well cheap compared to the good ones anyway, but I would expect any product to be this bad. If it was this bad as a default, when I search google for Nova Extreame reviews you would think I would have stumbled onto a blood bath of reviews.

Sooo, I am hoping the place that sent these just had a bad batch or even the manufacturer, which oh btw may be why the ballasts were hard to find.

I will order one and if it goes bad then I may re think the whole lighting situation.
