    that sucks, hope the next one works better. dont quote me on this but i think i read somewhere that CBB from australia tend to fair better, which means of course they are more expensive

    Mine was netted at the store as well. I doubt that was the issue.

    If it's any consolation I lost a flame angle to a power head and almost lost a hepatus tang to the same one. Both cases were pure stupidity. It was an old Hagan 802 powerhead with an input on the bottom. That powerhead pumps a ton of water and the flame got stuck in the input. It was dead when I found it. I figured it was a freak accident because I had the fish and PH in there for some time with no problems. About a week later I cant find my Hepatus. I look around and see a yellow tail sticking out of the intake. This time he was still alive. He had grill marks on its side for a couple of days but he lived. Still have him today about 2 years later. That PH is now used for mixing salt and circulating RO.

    I'm not sure what happened to your CBB. Sounds like it happened to line up perfectly with the slats and fit in through the opening. I wouldn't get discouraged. His death has nothing to do with the health of your tank.

    Copperband Butterfly (Papau New Guinea) - Medium (2 1/4" to 3 1/2") to replace the one from the store...
