bad stand choice. PICS ADDED

    I built a stand for a 75 using the same design as RC did (above). I still have it, built to hold a tank (literally ::)).

    Yup it was made by oceanic and one water spill ruined it completely... Ill post pics tomorrow when im not frustrated... It also looks like the bottom platform may be starting to warp or bow, so this has to be done asap... I spent like 350 on just this stand simply bc i didnt know how to build it, im very technical with electronics but building stuff no idea

    well if it make you feel any better I had no idea on what I was doing but managed to make mine retively easily but I did swear alot while building it.

    You can always try and come up with the right lengths that you will need and how Lowes or Home Depot cut the wood for you.

    Lowe's and HD will actually do all your custom cuts if you let them know ahead of time and come back to pick it up. I don't recall the exact cost, but I know it's not much.

    Thanks guys ill be getting pics up in a few here so you can see the actual damage. Hopefully itll last ne at least a week so i can get this built and painted and such, im also considering using a rubberized coating on the inside of the stand.. has anyone done that before?

    yes I have on a old pick up truck bed LOL it works but make sure it is able to be used on wood

    I used cedar. No need for coating, or staining.

    What kind of paint, or sealer did you guys use? I start building tomorrow my stand is really unstable, if i clean my glass with my mag float the whole thing moves with it.... Pretty worried at this point, i will also be calling oceanic tomorrow to see if they will do something about it so others dont have the same situation id like to keep it black like it is currently
