The guy at home depot wasnt helping me much at all, he said to get boat paint so it wouldnt leach something in my tank, so he made me a little uneasy as far as that goes, stand should be built fully tomorrow just need to get it painted right away what brand did you use to do your stand?

I used MinWax Wood Finish from Walmart. Some employees just shouldn't speak, lol. The MinWax spread really good and I still have a lot left over after completely staining everything for my 40 breeder stand. ;D

New stand is built, and will be in use today, its painted, and ready to go, just have to wait for my hands to get here to help bring it in, i ended up going with 2x6's for the frames on top/bottom, and 4x4's for the legs, i ended up reusing the glass doors on my existing stand!! so i saved money on building doors!! i have a total of 100$ into EVERYTHING!! and the top trim was 48$... pics will be added ill do a bf and after of when its all set up and leveled! :cheesy:

Heres a picture with the tank on the new stand, its not 100% done yet, but some minor tweaks left like put a door on, and then adjust them, and maybe put on a bigger tank... (the gf's suggestions not mine) so i know im good on that end  i also did some plumbing work under the stand, before i just had some hose running everything so i thought id hard pipe EVERYTHING, and let me tell you, its dead silent now, no flushing sounds!! ;D
