no, nothing was in QT. I've been holding on to a freinds stuff since June when their house was flooded. Now that they're back in their house and he's not making any effort to set up his tank I tossed it all out. I've got my QT tank back now but there is no way I could catch any of my fish. I'll just use the QT for anything new coming into the tank. Nice to have it available again.

None of the fish were sick until the powder blue had a bad outbreak from the controller/heater issues. Now my clowns have a few spots on them and my foxface has a few spots. Hopefully good feeding and good water will take care of this but who knows as bad as the ich was on the powder blue. In any case I should have that UV Wednesday or Thursday.

might want to do a fresh water dip on them until the uv gets there. only like 3-4 min. might hold it off until then.

If I could catch them I'd just treat them for 4-5 weeks with hypo-salinity. They're quick little boogers though. Hypo is my preferred method of treatment for ich in a QT tank. unfortunately I couldn't use my QT tank when I needed it so I took a chance and now I'm paying the price. :-/

Sounds like the foxface won the war they were having. Powder blue was a bully and I think he met his match. :( Sorry to hear that Kris, bet Heather won't let you go with me to the fish stores anymore.

I run a coralife UV 24/7. BTW, it doesn't mean no more Ich. It can kill free floating Ich and infections that happen to flow through it, but Ich has a life stage in the sand bed and some of it will still find a home on your fish before it gets to the UV. It will only kill inverts if they get sucked through the UV, but I've never heard of that happening. It definitely relieves disease though. I've had good luck with the coralife.

You could always borrow Scott's fish trap, he seems to have good luck with it...

I might have to use this as a next resort. I'd love to empty the 180 of fish for 6 or so weeks and let the ich die off naturally. I could then treat the fish in QT with hyposalinity. I'm hoping the UV will kill enough of the Ich that the fish won't be overwhelmed by it.
