Bad things about running UV on reef?

    I'm getting mixed reviews on whether this thing will actually kill ich or not. PA was out of the Coralife model so I got another one. Don't remember the brand name but the recomended flow rate is much higher. Hopefully this will increase the rate at which the tank "turns over" through it and makes it more effective.

    I have a Coralife 9W on my 65, I have a smaller hippo tang that was crawling with ich, I through this puppy on and I have never had a problem with ich since. Any UV will be benificial in killing those little pests. I turned mine off when the ich was gone, I just rely on nutrition to avoid it now
