Sorry again for the iPhone snapshot but he kept retreating into a hole when the lights came on.

I am just starting a cycle and every day I notice more and more stuff that hitchhiked in with my live rock. So far one shell less snail 3 six point starfish and some duster lookin things.

Today I noticed two worms one was only about 1/2" long an was red and tan with little spikes. Hard to tell if they were spiney bristles or brushy ones. He hid with any light.

My wife noticed this guy who is about and inch or so. It's hard to tell with the blue lights but he is all tan. Dead center o the picture

    Any ideas??

Also is the consensus that most of these worms are OK until they are big enough to eat coral or fish???

It's just a bristleworm and is a good part of your CUC. They get big but don't eat corals or fish, they just get ugly.

Sounds like just a common bristle worm. Dont touch them though. They can sting pretty bad, but they are harmless detritus eaters. You may not want to see what they look like when they get older though. Haha.
