I was opened my stand yesterday morning and to my horror I look to see that my baffles have shifted and the whole sump is one big return. Sand is everywhere and its just a mess. Of course I have to pull my return and my feed. But of course did I put a union so I could just unhook it no. But I ended up getting everything out putting a union in and I will just have to redo some of my return. Also if you use pressure locking baffles make sure to use the wide black foam. Otherwise it will just fail on you. At least this gave me a good chance to redo my wiring. Everything is nice and neat down their. Also replaced my maxi-jet 1200 with a 400gph ph. That should make the skimmer work a better. I know I post a lot about stuff that is just kinda stupid.

I used the wrong weather stripping. I used some really thin stuff. It was only about 1cm wide. This stuff is about 1.5-2cm. Lol its amazing that when you use the right stuff how well it works. I can not move baffles around extremely easily. I also think I figured out why my zoo's have not been doing so good. My timer is a POS. I it just randomly turns on. It stays on the entire time that it is suppose to then when its suppose to be off it clicks on for a few hours.

If you have extra acrylic try wedging a small piece in between your baffles at the corners so they can't move. This is if the right weather stripping doesn't work. We all learn from our mistakes, at least I learned a good one from yours.....;D Hope you get it all back together quick and don't have any livestock loss.

I still have to get one more union for the return. So far everyone looks happy, but the tang does not get to "ride" the current like he usually does.
