Does anyone have some experience with these? I've been able to ID about 25 or 30 the other day.

I moved a rock to allow for more room to attach a frag or too and noticed a tenticle, upon turning the rock 180 degrees I realized that there was a bunch of them. Don't know how they got in there, but I've got white, orange and red tips on these guys.

Anyone know if they have a value? They don't quite fit into my plans for the tank, so I would love to trade/frag em :)

Those are pretty sweet. If you want to get rid of some, let me know. Congrats on the find!

The article you have is pretty accurate from what I experienced except the ones I have are a quite a bit more introverted (mine are Pacific origin though). My guys prefer very dim light in the tank, one lives in a cave of sorts and it pretty much stays expanded most of the time and the other is in an open area and only expands at night. I have seen them eat micro brittle stars and given the number of stomatella shells piled up outside their resting area they seem to be a popular menu selection as well.
In terms of target feeding - never did. They came in on some live rock and I let the tank cycle for 5 months before I introduced my first purchase that required feeding. Once I did start feeding the tank and introduced more animals which in turn allowed for more amphipods etc. they really grew in size.

I’m glad I have them simply because they’re really cool – do I want more than a couple – nope. Congrats on the find, if you’re lucky you'll find a bunch of other stuff as well.
