    if the ballast is suppost to have two bulbs and you only run one does it affect it? the only reson i ask is ive only got one bulb in it and the bulb flickers sometimes. i turn it off and on then it works fine. i havent used the ballast before and i dont have another bulb to put in there till next week. or is the ballast going out its a retro fit t5 setup.

    It sounds like the ballast may be dying.
