My bad, I didn't see the pump below it and thought that was the drain.

Great job! I find plumbing sooo confusing, I really don't understand why.

Looks good. I would have plumbed the return line with the flex tubing and the drain line with pvc. But what works for one doesnt always work for another. Congrats on the set up and keep the update and pics coming.

I am living my reefer life vicariously through you guys. lol

Well that makes two of us! lol Probably why I have never went to a really large tank and a sump yet but I will venture out eventually.

Sorry for the sidetrack but nice work on the plumbing, looks clean and I like the progress! Glad to hear the QT is coming along as well so far and hang in there though because it takes patience. My few fish finally went back in the DT on Saturday and it is a relief. At least they will be going back into a cleaner and bigger home though. Congrats!

I glued most of my fittings in mine as well, but not where my return pump and PVC meet. I have a bushing on there instead so I can easily unscrew it. Turned out to be a smart move, because I have to replace my return pump today and cutting the old one out would be a nightmare.. I used flex hose under my corner drilled over flows as well like mentioned above. Your 45deg sweeps look good up in that area so good work! There's always a few ways to skin a cat in this hobby.

agreed. Not sure if you can see in the pic but there a green coupling on the pump nose so I can unscrew to remove pump.

youre right it takes time. How long were yours in QT. Im on day 23 or 24. I have vacation in 10 days so will wait till after that to put back in DT. Just to give extra time to fallow
