    so is fragging birdsnest as easy as it sounds? i need to do some trimming on mine, and ive never fragged anything before so this will be my first

    Oh, it was soooo easy.. I bought some nail clippers from target that look just like bone shears that they sell for frags. If you do it, be sure to snip them upside down over a bowl of water because my 1st one flew 20 feet across the room.. it seriously was too easy.

    hahahah that doesnt sound too bad, im still trying to get up the courage to frag, never thought an SPS would be my first shot at fragging, its just growing like a weed right now and taking over

    do it. I was scared until my first snip.. then after that, if I didnt have self control I would have fragged the whole thing because of how much fun it was..

    how do you know when to stop, is it just a personal preferance? i also dont have a frag rack or anything like that, i dont have any of the supplies yet but would they be ok to be placed on the sand for a while? ill probably end up having to take them to the lfs if they do that sort of thing

    which picture are you speaking of? I have good polyp extension from my main colony, the frags were just recently cut

    The one at the top where they are all white. I don't see any color at all aside from white - most birdsnest has color - like pink & purple, green, etc.

    its pink, its the combo of my old camera and lights.. I doubt taking a colony out to frag it will kill it off.. im going to upload a new image before the fragging and you tell me if it looks good

    darn, I deleted my pictures earlier off my memory card.. tomorrow though.. are you saying it should be more pink, because I have noticed it getting darker colored recently as compared to the pink it was when first bought..
