    im for the saltwater industry to sell farm raised or tank raised fish i found this on msnbc on the bangaii cardinal

    Yes, bad news for us and the Bangaii Cardinalfish!!! However, it does have its good side as these fish are easilly and successfully bred in captivity!

    im all for tank raised but there are so many people out there especially new to saltwater that dont know that there is a difference. it would help if local fish stores would promote tank raised fish but as we know most are in it just for the $$$. one lady i used to go to (shes not in business anymore due to age) she only sold tank raised fish and corals and still had a solid client base she was great to deal with

    In long term, tank raised fish should be much cheaper then wild ones.

    Really hope for the day when majority of our fish are tank bred. Will greatly reduce the expense for new comers starting out.

    Not to mention, there are allot of cool fish out there that are just overlooked because of the rarity and cost.

    Nice dream anyway. :-/

    they have been redlisted for awhile.theres this guy in central florida that breeds them and sells the babies for like 5 bucks to people so they can breed them later on.
