BANGGAI RESUE Hits Goal - Will be Funded!

Early this AM, Project BANGGAI RESCUE met its kickstarter goal of $25,000 and will be funded! This means that the project team will be going to Banggai Islands in Sulawesi, Indonesia this May. Their goals include taking stock of the wild population of Baggai Cardinal fish, researching the establishment of local mariculture operations and collecting healthy broodstock for captive breeding research in the USA. The effort is unique as the team will comprise of scientists and aquarium hobbyists. Congratulations to BANGGAI RESCUE and many thanks to the 3reef members, reef blogs and other forums that spread the word.
