Ok before I go into this let me say this first. This fish is only 2 inches long, I found him in the sea. He's in a 10 gallon tank of NSW right where he comes from, everything in the tank is from where he comes from. The rock the water the sand. I feed him on fish and little shrimp that are in the same location he is from. When he is too big for this tank I'll put him in another tank or set him free. I posted this video I took on another forum and some guy got all emotional. NEWay I thought I posted it here but didn't :) So check this out :)

Baracudas are endangered? Why would it be illegal to catch a barracuda and put him in a tank?

not that they are endangered but that you are creating chaos with the ecosystem when harvesting fish, corals or other animals. i'm sure everyone does it down there because we all get are animals from someone, somehow, somewhere...that's just my opinion though...

Barracuda's are not listed as endangered. As long as you have the permit as you stated in a previous post that covers the collection of wild animals there should be no problem.

I do have to say very cool video!!!

You don't need a permit for cuda. It's sold as food here. Yea I know that some of them can be toxic and make you sick or kill you but it's readily eaten here.

not in my tank, all corals were frags from local reefers and my fish were tank raised. even if the original colonies were from the ocean, i'm just trying to do my small part by purchasing animals that i have known to come from an established aquarium.

this actually wasn't pertaining to the cuda but in fact other threads you have posted in regards to the collection of corals. by the way, i'm not getting down on you for this...well, maybe a little. :) it's just my opinion and i'm trying to spread some knowledge, that's all.

Your correct, the cuda does have a history of being ciguatoxic in certain regions.

When you say I look like I'm into or seem to be into the "illegal collection" of anything your making a pretty strong statement.
