Are you putting something in your water?

Everything seems to be doing the shimmy in your systems.

This is a fairly large tank established tank, so I imagine there is plenty of different zones and areas for each to feed without impact to each other.

I really like, well love your tank. I would like to see some images of the frag tank and RP if you feel so inclined.

Thanks, I'll get some pictures after work.

I've been switching to feeding more particle sized foods, Reef Chili and Coral Frenzy so far. Most of the time I still spot feed the corals rather than broadcast style, but I do that sometimes, too. With dosing the Algaefix, I figured that there are less algae particles floating around.

I'm also staying away from feeding the corals mysis and going with only soft foods with no shells. Mostly Nutramar Ova and Fauna Marin LPS food. Sometimes I chop up scallops or shrimp that I feed to the big fish into tiny bits for the corals.

The best "shimmy" food is the Nutramar Ova. I brought an Acan Echinata home for a friend from a reef meeting on Saturday, and it ate the Ova 20 minutes after acclimation. It's really good stuff.

OK, so I got home a little late tonight and had to flick the lights on to get some pictures for you.

First off, here's the RP. It's still encrusting, but it's base is growing thicker. Keep in mind that it's under LED's, and I don't have much SPS experience.

Next up are shots of the reef and the 30 breeder growout.

I've been lazy about staining the stand. :p
The two tanks are plumbed together.

And what's in the 30. I gave some frags to a reefer buddy tonight who just started out. That's why I got home so late. My wife got me a Milwaukee cordless rotary tool with a diamond blade for my birthday, so I'm going to cut up some Acans and some Blastos when I get a chance.

Almost forgot about the pipefish video. They were doing the squiggly thing pretty good until I shoved a camera in their face.

Thanks for the comment! I'm going to keep it in the growout tank until it gets bigger. No hurry.

Forgot about a top down shot. It shows how big the Black Sun coral and Dendro are when they're open.

Thanks. I'll keep that in mind when posting videos, Steve.

The Leopard wrasse was being a punk and chasing the female Mandarin and Cardinals, so she was removed yesterday and put in the growout tank. I turned all of the lights out for two hours and rousted her out of the sand with the feeding tube. She was in a deep sleep daze and was easily netted.

A buddy of mine gave me a chalice that he was having trouble with. Here is one months growth. I was really surprised how quickly it recovered.

Tyree Red Watermelon is growing good.

The Dendro isn't closed up often, so I got a shot of it showing all of the heads. Six of them are new.

I missed the images I asked for. :-(

The pipe fish have such expressions to their faces, maybe it's me, but they looking like their thinking serious stuff.

Very nice frag tank, that is a great RP frag you got, nice color and growth. Tyree watermelon is to die for. I have to get one.

Tyree watermelon and Superman monitpora are two pieces I would really like to have after I get the tank settle again.

That's cool. I didn't really care for it at first, but the eyes have a bright pink color now, and it's getting green back around the eyes and rim.
