Your tanks are BEAUTIFUL! My fiance wasn't into aquariums at all, but my two FW tanks have slowly won her over. Then she didn't like the idea of a reef tank because invertebrates freak her out. After visiting me at work several times she likes the idea of a large tank making part of a wall in between two rooms. I look forward to the day she's finished with pharmacy school, and I'm out of the Army with my Master's Degree in Entertainment Business, we settle down buying/building our dream house and I can build a 500g reef monster. Tanks like yours are my inspiration.

One of my favorite tanks ( but you know that). ;D

The Dendros are so healthy and beautiful. All the lps have great PE.

The RP looks really really good, and I am not just saying that.

    :)

I had to wait until most of my kids were out of the house, :p I wish you luck for your future build!

Why thank you Cheryl, that means a lot.

I like a more minimalist approach in the scape, but I never like the way the FTS looks.

I've had a lot of luck with LPS, but I'm just getting into SPS. The RP has the prime spot with good flow. Hopefully it likes it there. Looking for a Garf Bonsai next.

I'm just getting rid of the last of the bryopsis after the Algaefix problem, and still kicking myself for that fiasco. That's the part of this hobby that sucks and you have to wade through until it's fixed, but that's finally over. I moved the acans and a few other corals from the growout tank to the DT, and with the additional flow, everything is looking happy again. Watch for new adds soon...:)

Took a very unprofessional video after lights out last night. :p I can't get a good picture under the blue LED's, so I thought I'd try this. It turned out to be 124 mb, so if I run out of hosting space, it'll have to come down.

Very nice, I like LPS so much better when they are showing some polyps.

Curious, it this their usual presentation at night or did you introduce some food?

    Is that the war coral?

Yeah, I thought a video gives a better representation of what's going on.

I had fed them a few hours earlier, before the lights went out. Since I added a little more flow, that's about whet they look like at night. I've been working a lot to get the flow right for everything, it's not easy.

The BN on the bottom right was just added as more or less of a water break for the LPS on the bottom. The Duncan was about half size and closing up. The NPS are open like that all night. The Yellow and the Black Sun coral are hit or miss during the day, while the Dendro is rarely closed. I should take another video to show their color a little better, the LED doesn't cover their area.

Yep, that's the War coral in the front, it's open every night as well. That thing can eat whole mysis with those teeny little mouths. I need to get it on a bigger rock or something, it's starting to grow around the back of the rock.

Hardly any bryopsis left, either. ;D

Lol, I'm still working on that one. I've been working a lot of hours, and I haven't been home when the lighting is right.
