Thanks Mike. You need to get pictures up of your system. I'd like to see how it's coming along.

Nearly had a power outage disaster last night. One that I never expected and was totally unprepared for. About 11:00 pm, we had a localized outage, affecting about 600 houses.

When the house went dark, one of my sons came downstairs using his phone as a flashlight, and freaked Big Mamma out, big time. The house was completely silent except for a loud slamming sound and water thrashing. We didn't know what happened at first. I got a flashlight to check Big Mamma out, and she wasn't in the tank! She had jumped out through the lid, and fell behind the tank.

I was unable to get a net back there, or grab her with my hands. I couldn't get to her. It took a little frantic running around trying to figure out what to do, before I decided to grab a towel and slide her along the back of the tank to where I could reach her. About eight feet. While she was thrashing. I scooped her in a bucket and threw her back in the tank, where she floated at the surface. The power was out for a good 15 minutes, so the was no flow in the tank to help her out. I don't know how long she was out of the water, but at the time I remember thinking it was too long. I really expected that she wouldn't be alive this morning.

But, being the tough fish that triggers are, she greeted me like a little puppy this morning. A beat up, tired little puppy, but at least she made it through. ;D

Yeah, it was crazy. I think my son was in shock for a bit. I can't describe how loud it was, not to mention it happened in the dark. She's a good 22" long, and thick and heavy. I think she'll be OK, Seano, thanks.
