Hehe, thanks, Vinny. The PAR 30 bulb puts out a lot of light, especially with the distance from the tank. I tried a PAR 38, but it was brighter than I wanted.

Actually, the light doesn't shine in your eyes at all. I thought it would. Works much better than I thought it would. :p

By accident, I was able to set my white balance under all blue LED's to take pictures that are very close to what I see by eye. I was playing around looking for a good gray area in the tank to sample. I noticed that the photos all came out with way too much yellow and red, so I decided to take a sample on a red chalice. Surprisingly, the colors came out very close to real life. Then I sampled the War and Peace coral, and the colors were almost exactly what I see when I look at the tank. It's kind of cool, because I bought the LED's to highlight the colors of the corals, but could not get good pictures to share them with everyone. They were all taken underwater with the D10. :p

Here they are in no particular order. ;D

    Wow Jerry,

What simply amazing images and the coloration is perfect.

Honestly is impossible for me to find a favorite among the group.

    Is that a pink Goniopora?

Gorgeous shots of the corals. I read 18% grey is the way to go. Need to order that from a camera shop I guess. I found the connectors on for the hoses on the new Fluval 06 series is just about right for white balance using grey.
