Im glad to hear that the battle against the bubble is finally turning around! So.. higher flow=more efficient filter in your case?

 

Higher flow through the macro. It made sense to me, since a good flow through an ATS grew algae faster, and I don't have a DSB area. The Chaeto is directly in the output of the drain.

The system worked good in the past, but as the tank filled with corals, and demand was higher, I always had some type of algae in the DT. I knew that increasing flow was the right thing to do, I'm just surprised how quickly the bubble algae is dying off. More algae growth in the sump, less in the DT.

 

Snorkeling pictures from our short vacation to the Keys. We took two trips. There was a good swell, and visibility was not quit as good as in the past. The corals had just spawned with the recent full moon, and there were a lot of tiny fish fry in the rocks. I tried to get more pictures of corals and smaller fish. There were some wrasses that I had never seen before. Overall, there seemed to be more fish and more coral than the last trip.
