Good to have the room to deal with aggression.

BTW your Coris is a Halichoeres.

Yeah, I know. I just say "Yellow Coris", otherwise people think I'm referring to the Melanurus.

As far as the aggression goes, yes you need room to spare to avert an emergency. The Tusk is doing really well in the reef tank. Eating good and showing more personality. ;D

Just did one. Yeah. Doesn't happen often, but only took about 20 minutes. Sucked 80 out of the FOWLR sump with a 2" pool hose to the floor drain. Used a 3,000 gph sump pump to transfer water from the reef sump to fill the FOWLR sump, then filled the reef sump with fresh salt water. I think I don't do it more often out of sheer laziness. :p

Hung a new-to-me Tao LED over the frag tank. Took the two PAR bulbs that were over the frags, and mounted them over the DT for some extra SPS light.

You can see the Tusk peeking out in the bottom center of the tank. Looks tiny in the picture, but he's about a 6" fish.

Looks really really nice Jerry with the new lighting arrangement. I hope your LPS will love it as much as the SPS which I am sure will love it.

What's over the frag tank now, do you still have it?

Frag tank has a Tao Tronic over it. Exact same LED's as the DT. A buddy of mine bought a Reffbreeder's Photon for his tank, and sold the Tao to me. Frags are all doing great. Hope to get some better SPS growth with the extra light.

Here's a better picture I had on my phone. It's just an outdoor metal box with a swivel PAR mount that I drilled and screwed to the aluminum frame. If the PAR bulbs are too much for the corals, I'll mount them higher up.

Not really sure, I've been working 80+ hours a week for too many weeks in a row. Today was the first day in a long time that I came home to see all of the lights on. I would say SPS color looks better and growth is increased.

I quit using GFO a couple of weeks ago and ordered a Reefbreeders red led fuge light with a gooseneck fixture. Goal is to provide better conditions for algae to grow in my sump rather than the DT.

Aww a new plan of attack, makes sense. Are you feeding heavily to keep the Lps and fish happy?

I assume you will be getting some sweet stuff at the Frag Swap.
