Lol, yes Vinny, finally getting an appreciation for them. I did get a few more from a frag swap last Saturday:

    Blue tipped Granulosa

    Yellow Suharsonoi. More yellow IRL.

Wondering if this guy is a Spathulata.

Last but not least a ruby red goni. Had to get it for the wife. :p

Of course I love the additions.

So the yellow/green Goniopora you've had that one for awhile?

Since last September at Fragstock. The Alveopora does really well just to the left, so that's where I put the gonis. I guage most of the flow in the tank by the Alveopora.

What type of coral do you think is the third one down?

I think chances are good you're right on the id but, I have been seeing a lot of corals that were once named/id's as Spathulata now id differently. It's that exaggerated coralites with a downward slant and muted rim that seem to be hitting the market with different names lately. I love the look big time but it get a little confusing trying to figure out who is who.

Yeah so that is an Alveopora hmmm I did not notice, well that puts a whole different slant on things.

I'm sorry, the red and the bright green behind it are both goni's. The big one to the left is an Alveopora.

For size reference. The green gone is so bright the color gets blown out of the photo. Not bleached, actual color.

    HUGE difference.

The gentleman at the LFS, I use the term gentleman loosely, communicated to me that the yellow/green glow ones will not live in captivity for long. He said go with red as they has the best success rate, now that I agree with ( that red do better) not that glowing green/yellow one are doomed.

Look at the date on the first post of this thread, all the way way back to 2010. I know you're using LED's but which ones and how long do you keep them on for?

Radion Pro's on this tank. This month marks the one year anniversary that it has been a reef. :D

From what I understand, wild green goni's fare well, and captive reds like the ORA. I'm running into more people who keep them successfully and frag them, like my new dark red one. Can't comment on the bright green as that's the only one I've seen.
