That is a beastly worm! permanent numbness!! I wonder how they found that one out. So how is this worm related to the common harmless bristleworm found in home aquaria? I believe they are both from the same family. I wonder if it is possible for our worms to cause permanent numbness.

Eunicid worms are scary fast. Thank God I've never run into a 4 foot long one. I had a 12" one that took 2 fish. (If I recall correctly, a lawnmower blenny and a clown). I would see the little scumbucket shoot out of the rocks and try and nab other fish and miss and he would be back in the rockwork within 1/2 second. They eat soft corals too.

He does have some cuteness to him doesn't he...just a bit...and that reef tank looks ten times better than the one at our Aquarium. Our Aquarium staff called the Chattanooga Reef Club asking how to setup a reef tank, and ignored our/their advice completely. The guy who is in charge of it is really full of himself. Which you can gather from the fact that he ignored our advice and went off to find his own road.
