    I was only asking out of interest. I didn't know base rock would turn live with no live rock to seed it and also so quickly.

    yep any rock will become live i started with bace rock and one day i found a pice i had to have at a lfs and it looked the same ecsept the fether dusters and little bugs i got with the live rock

    okay once i get my reefcleaners or marcorocks what do i need to do to prepare them for my tank?

    Just rinse them off well because they might be kind of dusty. Other than that they are good to go!
