    it looks kinda like concrete, and it is pretty heavy

    It may have silicates in it, you can kind of see the small, shiny/sparkly dots on the rock, it looks like mica, which is basically pure silicate, which causes problems with algae and diatoms. Are there the small, sparkly/shiny specks over the rock? Or did I just see something that isn't there?
