Base Rocks for 1.50/lb

    Well, I just came back from a LFS. I found that they are selling the base rocks for $1.50 :eek:.

    I bought mine from ~3.50/lb grr...only if i knew. The rocks are the same as the Fiji rocks some online places sell. Only if I knew that before, I would only pay $50 for 40lbs+

    Well, if you live in SoCal, let me know. I can tell you where they are at.

    live bas rocks>???? if there dry thats weird cause the stores around sac sell them from $1 to $1.50 a pound all the time.

    did you buy base rock or live rock. its two different things.
    and $1.50 for base rock is right price

    OK, I got SCREW##D
    My LR was 6.00 a lb. x 55lbs And it wasnt even the fancy light stuff they were selling at the time..

    Just thought I would make you feel better. Knowing that someone was screw##d more..

    if they're dry they're not live.

    i feel you there i was paying $6.5 for my LR. but i wondering if mudd paid 3.5 for base rock

    The stores in my area sell LR for $10-13/lb. So it could be worse. Luckily I found someone tearing down a tank and bought his LR for $3/lb.

    reef bones are what their called here.1.50 a lb. they are dead dry live rock

    lr here it 8 to 10lb and that fiji

    is base rock not live rock? the only different its dry?
