Cindy I like the peg board all over! That was good thinking to hang stuff. Looking good! 8)

Sedra's are supposed to be pretty nice, but it sounds like you set it up as an internal pump and not external - any reason for that? Sounds like it took up some room and I'm just a little concerned about heat transfer, but maybe since it's in the basement, it won't matter much.

The basement sump room does give you the luxury of picking up a hardcore external pump that wouldn't transfer as much heat as one sitting in a sump.

Dolphin Ampmaster or Iwaki comes to mind. I don't think they are much different in price either but I could be wrong. Just a thought!

All the same, I am super jealous of your sump room. That was such a smart move. I wonder if my landlord would notice if I drilled a hole through the floor. [smiley=wiseguy.gif]

[quote author=dx7fd2 link=board=General;num=1087129169;start=0#9 date=06/26/04 at 06:51:06]Sw ,I would suggest that you tee off of the output of the sedra and put in a gatevalve back into the sump so that you don't put back pressure on the pump. That way any of the excess water just goes back into the sump and the pump can run wide open.

Looks like we were typing at the same time Drew. [smiley=upsidegrin.gif] Interesting thought there! [smiley=2thumbsup.gif]

Well guys..it's finally up and running with only two little floods  dx, the tank is a 75 AGA with the megaflow. I love it! Next to it I have a 20 high set up as a fuge. Also, that's a great idea about the tee in the return. I'll keep that in mind when we plumb in the RO/DI in the fish room. Always can make alterations...Matt, I guess my blonde was showing through when I put the Sedra in the sump..ya know, I half thought of running it in-line, but who knows where that thought went to ;D Hopefully with the chiller, the heat transfer won't be too bad...Well, I guess I'll have to let the kids know that I'll be hiding in the basement from now on watching water move... ::) Oh also, I moved my 45 gal. FOWLR to the basement also to make room for two new rescued cockatiels. The fish that were in that tank went into the reef tank. Thinking of maybe doing some aggresive fish in the 45. If anyone has any suggestions on any good ones let me know! Hope the pics post okay...
