Baugherb's 2.5gal pico.

I tell people that to me the biggest thing regarding a nano/pico is top-off... I have used my homemade auto-topoff on all of my tanks...

 

do you have a thread or something that could explain to me your ATO as i am looking to DIY one myself

 

I'll work on making something to show about my DIY autotop off.... I'll try to put it up on saturday..

 

I plan on going to a few pet stores tomorrow to get the supplies to set my ato like yours up. but i thought that i should ask what is the rate that the top off water is getting put into your tank? i unfortunatly dont really have the time to tinker with it for the next few days so i figured i would see how much yours is putting into the tank.

 

I hope not bro but you have to do what you gotta do.. when I took mine down I always regretted it..

 

Mine puts a drop in usually every 3-4 seconds.. I judge mine by eye. Not really how much is put in over time...

 

Well I finally found some time to mess with my tank.. I had a Pony ballast from my old nano cube so I added another 24watt's to my tank.. Now I have 48w over my little 2.5gal Pico.. Very very happy with the outcome.. I also piced up some new zoa's, candycanes, and a nice little frogspawn... Will get some pics up soon once everything opens fully...

 

Very bored.. Just added blue led's for moonlights.. It never ends even with a 2.5gal...

 

Well I've been thinking about making a new hood for my tank.. I just made one wednesday but since I added another bulb I can't see wasting the ballast because it has another lead for another bulb.. Hmmmmm.. 72w's over my 2.5gal.... maybe... I had 150w of MH over my 5.5gal.... Why not....
