    I'm just using the HOB filter for now for flow.. I am going to get a bigger one eventually.. My birdsnest took a crap, tank to new... Will get some more frags in a few days if my zoa's start to open up... Might hold off a couple weeks.. Not sure yet..

    That's to bad about your birdsnest. Do you think you have enough flow to keep SPS in there with only the HOB filter?

    Maybe not... Once I get a bigger HOB filter I might try it again... I only used a big HOB filter on my 5.5gal and kept alot of sps's... We'll see....

    Not trying to hijack but I have a question. I bought my son a used 29 gal SW tank with a HOB filter and I am unsure if there will be problems with it. is there anything special that needs to be done w/it? Just curios. by the way I saw your pic and the tank looks awesome.

    i ran a 20 tall with just a HOB for flow but I ran a filter rated for a 75g tank on it plus it was only my QT tank anyway

    I had 2 Koralia 1's in my 20H.... Like Iraf said, it all depends on the flow of the hob...

    great to see more pico reefers! i just joined the club as well. you put some corals in that early? i am very tempted to throw in some of my zoanthid and mushroom frags but i am still a little nervous about it. my tank has actually only been set up six days longer than yours.
