    Hey Everyone,

I have a bare bottom 40g breeder FOWLR and I'm looking for some ideas to round out my stock list. I plan to keep 6 fish total, and although that may be at the high end for a 40g, my equipment can handle the bioload. Also, I do have a full lid and about 50lbs live rock

    Right now, I have:
    3 red firefish
1 Midas Blenny (moved from my 29g biocube, so he'd have more room)

    I plan to also add:
    1 coral beauty angel
1 Other Fish (but which one!?)

Here are some of my thoughts. I already have lots of yellow, orange, and will have blue/ purple from the angel, so I'm looking for other colors):

    • Pink Spot Goby (would it be ok without a sandbed, if it has a cave?)
    • Linespot Flasher Wrasse (is there enough swimming room?)
    • Hoeven's or Red Lined Wrasse (is it even possible without a DSB for them to hide? My guess is no)
    • Royal Gramma

    Any feedback is greatly appreciated!

Where are you in NJ? I'd be interested and might have a good method of getting him out without having to remove anything

I want to know your method for fish removal :) It's not on your list and I know I always recommend them but I love hawkfish - specifically a flame hawk but most types are pretty cool - they perch, are colorful, and usually are very active. A wrasse is also a great addition, they too are very colorful and active.

I considered a flame hawkfish cause I love their bright red color, but saw a video or two and it didn't seem like they moved that much, so i nixed it. Maybe I will reconsider.

I had a lyretail hawk that unfortunately jumped out :( but he was very active and perched all over the tank.
