BC29 Bulb Burned out after 2 months?

    So my BC29 10000k 36 watt PC bulb seems to have burned out and I have only had the tank for a couple of months. This isn't normal is it?

    Also one of the fans is really loud and not functioning very well. Could too much heat have burned out the bulb?

    ummm, I would like to say that it is not normal but it is! My biocube bulb and fan went out within a couple months.

    Oceanic has a pretty good customer service department...contact them and let them know what happened. If nothing else they will send you a new fan (I did) and also ask for a new light bulb.
