    Thanks...been a hell of a ride. I have settled down soooo much since I started. I just kinda let nature do its thing. No additives, just a monthly 25 gal water change. Have not lost a single fish in 2.5 years!;)

    That is amazing. I am wondering just how many water changes are actually needed. My corals (softies) seem to do better with less water changes.

    Softies do like (Dirtier water). If you have softies, add a little KENT IODINE. They will explode!

    I haven't dosed anything yet because I only have a basic test kit. I have thought about dosing Iodine though.

    I used to test EVERYTHING weekly. I dont think I have tested in 2 yrs!!

    That is understandable. I hate testing my water params. Takes to long IMO. You can usually tell if something is off once you get to know your tank anyways.

    Yes...I am not trying to give advise...ALWAYS do what you think is best for your own tank. But you are correct. You can "feel" when something is not right.
