    Any ideas on what this critter may be? A fellow reefer bud of mine thought maybe a toadstool. Thx for any help!

    dont think its a toadstool because of the polyps. my guess is a xenia of some sort.

    that does indeed look like a baby toadstool ( mine has polyps extended that look a bit like that)

    Yea I thought it was pretty interesting too! It would be excellent if it were indeed a TS since I almost bought one a cpl weeks ago but decided to pass...we shall see! Thx for input folks.

    Heh I'd call it a toadstool I had one just like that show up one day I've got quite a few pics in my 72 gal thread if ya wanna compare

    i'm 100% certain that is a toadstool.. i have a mother colony of toadstool that i lost when i dosed red slime remover a while back, and i ripped the mother colony off and now i have about 10 of these frags from the same rock the mother toadstool was on.. they are indeed toadstool frags
