    welcome to the 3reef family! i agree that going that small right away even though sounds like a good idea it will present alot of issues atleast right away until you get used to keeping the parameters in check. 24 to 29 gallon is a nice size not very small which will give more options down the road and not to large to enjoy in a living room or family area. I have a 50 gallon in my family area and its just perfect just an idea but best of wishes

    Uh oh. Lot's of negative vibes regarding a pico. Are they really all that difficult if you use an ATO? As for creatures, I'd be satisfied having polyps and zooanthids, maybe a coral or two, plus the cleanup crew, of course. When it comes to nano, I do have an interest. I really like the Elos but it is very expensive. There are others that I like, also; among them are RSM and JBJ. I won't be starting until the end of this year, so I have time to read and think.
