Schackmel has one in her 135g reef. It never picks at corals and is peaceful to new fish additions.

I had one of these guys in my 150. She didn't bother any of the corals but did develope a liking to my clam so i had to get rid of her

thanks for the reply. right now I do not have a clam. would like to get one someday as they are beautiful and add a lot of color to the tank. I think I would rather go with the fish, hard decision, fish or clam.

I have never heard of a bellus messing with anything that is not in the water column until i got mine. On a side not though, I do feed very sparingly so this could have been the cause!

You've probably seen this but there's a nice male on Diver's Den right now. :)

Schackmel has 6 or 7 clams and hers leaves hers alone. Just goes to show you...they are all individuals.

yeah I've seen him, thats what got me researching this fish. Was going to get a Naso tang knowing that it would outgrow my tank, but I think a bellus would be a better fit, would like to get a pair, but after thinking about it my tank may be too small for that, so probably just get a female.

My LFS has one of these in her 900g display reef (with clams and very high end *read $$* sps) and has absolutely no problem with it at all. Beautiful fish.

I have horrible luck with most fish in general....my blue tang nipped at my sea apple and that's why I have no sps i think!
