At some point during the night, Benny the Lawnmower Blenny became Benny the Carpet Surfing Blenny.

The thread I posted the other day is the last picture I have of him.

I had no idea that this fish would jump. My two year old is quite upset, probably because his mommy couldn't quit crying when he kept asking where his "Benny" was.

sorry for your loss! Put an eggcrate with sometype of netting and use your discount and get a new one... I love my benny. Take your kids to the store and let them pick a new one out. Also consider catching that one that Luna said chased it out!

People dont believe that fish can jump through egg crates but I had a bluespotted that did, very first night I had it...so I always recommend putting something else over the eggcrate. I have been on other forums and have had people say...oh I find it hard to believe a fish can jump through egg crate...and then later on come back and say they had one do it too:-/

I'll probably pick out another blenny tomorrow. We have several in stock, but I'm not going to work on my day off.

yea i always had a problem with my starry blenny it was the only fish that would constantly go into the overflow.
on a unrelated note i had a biology professor that would talk to blennies, he would record the noises they make and figure out what they meant, then play them back.

Thats cool! This one would let me pet him, he had a spot he would sit in while I fed and wouldn't move until he got his back stroked. He was really too big for the tank, but I was hoping to move him into a bigger tank soon.
