Best so far - current halide/T5 fixture with 20k radiums and ATI bulbs

Worst so far - zoo med T5 fixtures, 2&4 bulb. What a joke. I was warned but like any other new reefer, I knew it all ;)

"Worst: Amino acids, Reef Snow, Dwarf Lion fish, Bamboo Cat Shark, Sebae Anemone."

Same here.. & a Purple Dottyback (little s.o.b. was a terror). Also bought four Blue Reef chromis and didn't quarantine them and my entire tank almost crashed because of it.

Best: Didn't go cheap on anything for my 300gal and took my time.

    resounding yes!

Best for me has to be the auto top off. Lower salinity swings FTW.
Worst is that stupid tom's aqualifter or my LEDs I had custom built for me. The LEDs just makes me more angry than anything

I got a ten gallon tank and hooked my ATO to a maxi-jet at the bottom and I never have to worry about the toms (I've been thru two separate toms) not topping off all the way.

I am not sure what Xaqua is, but I am going to be building a HOB overflow. In the near future.

Best: customized tank and steel stand, Vortech pumps, auto top off

Worst: automatic skimmer cleaner... I used it for three months and never could achieve stable skim mate production. As soon as I took it off, everything went back to normal. Oh ya... and pretty much every additive I have ever tried!

Worst: Rio Nano skimmer- worthless POS, and Bi-color Dottyback- made damsels look like model citizens.

Best: Petco Real Ocean Water- no mixing, testing, or worrying over trace elements; just heat, aerate, and change.

Another best - aquavitro line of additives which I've been using for 2 years+

Worst - RO water from a LFS, thanks for the hair algae guys! (Previous tank)

Funny thing is if you buy a coral or a fish and there is something wrong with them or they die it always "you must have bad water" .........hmmmmm

For me, the best thing I purchase was a Pinnatus Batfish...........3-1/2 years and going strong. Eats like his fat owner.

Worst thing is the Snowflake Eel.......damn thing makes a mess of my 300 gallon tank. He moves or knocks over rocks and move sand all way from the places I want it and he doesn't.

Lol, Just read this after posting a response in a different thread. I would never buy RO water from a LFS, RO/DI is the way to go...
