If they are white, it's because they are bleached, not dyed. If they are dyed, it is usually to make them appear bright yellow.

Unfortunately, that anemone appears to be dyed and bleached.

 

So do you think that means it's not gonna live long?

 

Hard to say really. I assume that you've got pristine water and appropriate lighting for it?

 

I've got a 4-T5 set up and everything is good on the water other than nitrates at 30. I plan on doing a water change tonight though.

 

Well, at the moment, all you can do is stay on top of your water parameters and keep your fingers crossed If you see it start to look poorly, be prepared to remove it before it melts in your tank. Is it actually yellow or is that just the way the photo looks?

 

Kinda hard to say on the color. I will say that it looks much whiter when the actinics are on with the 10k's.
