I'd drill it if you got the tank from Joe I'm sure he will drill it for you and get a amp master or a reeflow Dart to run the loop . I made this mistake way back with my old 350 I wound up doing a over the rim 4 port 2 1' returns to feed the Dolphin Amp master 3600 on a siphon kind of the two 1'" lines tied together to feed the 2' inlet of the pump. If you try to use any power heads on a tank that size its like peeing into the wind you will wish a million times you have not even attempted it.. .

I gotta say a few MP 40s, I love mine, and you can have one control the others.

Thanks for the input Rodger and I pray that I don't regret this descision. Joe is willing to drill for me but he also swears that all CL's have problems with leaks eventually and that I can get just as much flow in the tank with the newer generation of powerheads. Ultimately, the thing that steered me away from CL is that the back of my tank is flush against the wall. This should give me a really clean look but it means that any pipes will need to run through the bottom of the tank and the bottom of this tank is 2"thick and it is going to have a lot of water pressure pushing down on any bulkheads.
