    On my 55 I'm just using 2W54w t5's.... this would be a smaller tank of just sps corals i'd like toset up.... maybe 4X27w? on a 20 long tank? or something simular.

    and just for the record proper levels are????

    Ca... 440ish?
    Mg... 1420ish?
    Kh..... help?

    what should they be?

    Anacropora, monti, birdsnest, staghorn... all pretty easy as SPS goes?

    I had to look up anacropora... never heard of that one before! LOL

    Kh 3.5-4.2 meq/l

    Anacropora grows like a weed and is branching rather then just plating.

    a rough way to work out a DKH level is as follows

    360 is the base line
    everything after 360 should be divided by 7

    thus with 440 - you are 80 over base line
    80 divided by 7 = 11 approximately

    so with that Calc level - you aim for between 11 and 12 KH
