Hi, I am in need of a new tank lid on my nano. Last one was a victim of the MP10 wave maker, a standing wave was forming, i turned it up a little and bang... the lid bounced and cracked right down the middle.

I was wondering if there is any sort of glass i should be asking for when I go get a new lid made up? Im using 36W PC bulbs so its not the most powerful lighting system, therefore want to ensure that the glass I get isnt just reflecting all the goodness...

You could ask for starphire, aka Low Iron Glass. It's the clearest stuff to date.

Most any glass lid or even acrylic lid will have a negligible effect on the light penetrating to the tank. I wouldn't worry about, as you said, if you have a 36w light and were really worried about the light reflecting and refracting, you would just get a more powerful light. As Ultimatewarrior said, if starphire glass is clearer than normal plate glass.
